Yesterday, while looking for frames I came across and incredible fabric piece being framed in a local shop.  The artist was Merle Axelrad Serlin, and she works with layers and layers of fabric.   It was very inspirational to see.  

For my next project I will be working on a new miniature series that I will call "my America".  I am going to try and keep them all under 8x8 (framed) with of course the red/white/blue theme running through each piece.  I will post photos when I complete a few.

Well this blogging will be an interesting journey for me. I am not sure how to begin so I will by posting one of my favorite little vessels.

This little felted vessel is made with Gotland and Merino. The gray is from Judy Colvin's Gotland sheep.  I love the way it felts! I also just love the simplicity of this little piece.
